Home Foundation Drainage Question?

I am needing to know different ways (preferably cheap) to solve my drainage problem on the side of my shop. Here is the scenario. The earth is higher than my shops foundation so i dug the dirt down about 6 inches below the surface of my foundation. Any ideas of how to finish from here is much appreciated..remember cheap is better as long as it works..I'm mainly worried about making my foundation weak from the ground being wet etc.Thanks
