I would consider it a main dish. Serve it with brown rice, rice noodles or you could braise some tofu and serve that with it. Have you tried pan fried tofu? It is wonderful, nutty, crispy and you don't need to use a lot of oil. Cut it into 1/2 inch slices, mmm. Braised spicy garlic eggplant is also a wonderful dish which you should try.
